KIJHL: Dynamiters back on the road

Three-game swing takes defending KIJHL champions through Chase, Revelstoke and Golden

Townsman Staff

The Kimberley Dynamiters face their second three-game road trip in seven days as they travel down the Trans-Canada Highway to take on the Chase Heat, Revelstoke Grizzlies and Golden Rockets this weekend.

The Nitros (3-1-0-1) open the tour Friday (8 p.m.) in Chase before continuing on to Revelstoke (Saturday) and Golden (Sunday).

Last weekend, a lack of execution cost the defending KIJHL champions as they dropped back-to-back outings in 100 Mile House (2-0) and Kamloops (3-2, OT) before spanking the Sicamous Eagles by an 8-0 margin to close out the road trip.

Captain Jason Richter will look to maintain his hot start to the season, having opened with seven goals and 11 points through five games.

The Nitros next home game is Oct. 2 when the Grizzlies visit the Kimberley Civic Centre.
