Cranbrook Outlaws box lacrosse headed to Alberta tourneys

The Cranbrook Outlaws box lacrosse teams will be involved in a couple of Alberta tournaments this weekend.

The Tyke to Pee Wee teams will be competing in High River and the Midget ‘A’ and Bantam ‘A’ squads will be playing in Calgary from Friday, April 28 to Sunday April 30.

The teams have been practicing hard for their opening tournament of the 2017 season and are hoping to kick off the year with some success.

All of the Outlaws teams will also be attending a National Lacrosse League game at the Scotiabank Saddledome between the Calgary Roughnecks and Saskatchewan Rush. The program’s players and family members total 200 people and will fill two section of the arena.

Cranbrook’s Mini Tyke and Tyke teams will take part in a half-time game against a Calgary team during the night, and will have the full support of their fellow Outlaws family.
