Voting opens for 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards

Voting for the third annual Readers’ Choice Awards is now open, both in print and online at our website.

It’s is that time of year again where you—our dear readers—have the opportunity to recognize the best that Cranbrook and Kimberley have to offer and vote for your favourites.

Voting for the third annual Readers’ Choice Awards is now open, both in print and online at our website—www.dailytownsman.com and www.dailybulletin.ca. View the form by clicking on the ‘Contests’ tab at the top righthand side of the page. The newsprint form can also be filled out and dropped off at the Daily Townsman or Daily Bulletin offices.

Deadline for the contest, which includes the Kimberley Daily Bulletin and the Kootenay Advertiser, ends on Jan. 30, 2015.

There are close to 150 categories for you to choose from, ranging from people to business to services to entertainment centres to places of interest. Readers have the option to vote for a favourite restaurant, favourite coffee house, favourite department store, favourite book store, favourite pub, favourite golf course, favourite city councillor, favourite real estate agent, even a favourite use of tax dollars.

“Each year we get more and more feedback for our Readers’ Choice Awards,” said Daily Townsman/Daily Bulletin publisher Karen Johnston. “We encourage our readers to engage with the community and celebrate the best of what our region has to offer.”

The ballots will be tallied and the winners announced in late February, 2014 in a special commemorative Readers’ Choice Supplement celebrating the best our communities have to offer.
