Gestures, facial expressions, voice variation and words all compiled together result in a speech. When you add funny thoughts and ideas you have a Humorous Speech.

This past weekend Toastmasters from Area 36 gathered to select the speaker that would represent at the Division C contest in Vernon on October 24th. The contestants offered their funniest lines and thoughts, were judged and the outcome announced at the end of the contest. When the dust had settled Amanda Bott was standing at the front of the room with the trophy.

Amanda honed her speaking chops during her Air Cadet days, in the Effective Speaking portion of cadets and her studies in radio broadcasting at SAIT. Congratulations Amanda and much success from your fellow Toastmasters.
