Stages welcomes top flight dancers for specialty lessons

This Sunday, Dec. 11, will feature a special session of dance and dance instruction, to which everyone is welcome.

Melissa Mitro from Canada's "So You Think You Can Dance" is coming to work with dancers from Stages School of Dance in Cranbrook. Workshop classes are running on December 11. She will be joined by Stages's own Caitlin Paulson.

Caitlin Paulson from Stages School of Dance was recently awarded her second scholarship to SDF Dance tour. SDF Productions organizes global dance tours to New York, London, Paris and Bearcelona. In 2015, Caitlin attended dance training and photo shoot in Paris. This past summer, she attended the SDF dance tour in Barcelona, Spain, where she worked with Melissa and numerous other excellent choreographers and teachers.

Stages are excited to have Melissa take a break from her busy schedule to kick off our holiday season with some specialty workshop classes in Cranbrook.

Melissa was Runner up on CTV's So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Her duet received the "Outstanding Choreography Television Live Perfromance" award from the World Dance Awards.. She has toured, performed, and danced in many music videos, at the Pan American Games and Parapan Games, on Disney's The Next Step, the Juno Awards, the Much Music Video Awards and more.

She has been featured in films travelled to Italy, Croatia, Spain, Finland, and Poland to perform in many Salsa Congresses with the company Ansima Production Ballet.

Just recently she was the Latin choreographer for SYTYCD in Vietnam and has worked on this year's SYTYCD "The Next Generation" in America.
