Cranbrook Community Theatre (CCT) brings "The Weir" to the Stage Door Theatre in January 2017. This is the second play of CCT's core season program.

Written by Irish playwright Conor McPherson, "The Weir" is set in a pub in rural Ireland where a group of regulars share tales of the town with a new resident, Valerie, a young business woman from Dublin who has just rented an old house in the area. The stories turn to the supernatural - of ghosts, fairies and other unnatural beings. After all the men tell their tales, Valerie begins to speak of her own haunting story with an unexpected twist.

Director Terry Miller has gathered a talented local cast and crew to tell this stirring tale. "I've drawn people from all parts of the local theatre community and they are a skilled, talented and very entertaining cast", says Miller.

"The Weir" runs for 10 nights; January 20 & 21, January 25-28 & February 1-4, 2017 at the Studio/Stage Door, 11-11th Ave South, Cranbrook. Tickets are available at Lotus Books.

All performances at 7:30 p.m.
