Laurie Middle School Drama is gearing up for a musical trip back in time — or is that ahead in time? “Back To The Future” plays at the Studio Stage Door next week

On May 27, 28 and 29, Laurie Middle School's Grade 9 Drama class is performing a production like no other.

Along with the help of some eager Grade 7s and Grade 8s, this musical will be the talk of the year.

This production is one everyone will surely know — "Back to the Future," from the all-time movie classic loved by everyone. With its humour and dramatic scenes, it is not one you will want to miss.

Laurie Drama will be putting their own unique twist on the storyline, but will keep the original tale of Marty McFly — played by Ryan Feery — and his adventures.

After months of preparation, these three days will be the final product of all the hard work of the students involved — a cast of 40.

The students' enthusiasm and excitement are growing as the nerve-wracking days approach. Their broad and eccentric acting highlights the show and makes for a riveting production. The props, the costumes, the songs and the plot will definitely take you back in time.

The play is under the direction of committed teachers Ryan Fleming and Sandy Montgomery, and co-director John Marino.

"Back to the Future" runs at the Studio Stage Door in Cranbrook, Wednesday, May 27, through Friday, May 29. Tickets are available at Laurie Middle School, from Sandy Montgomery.
