Dad left us on Canada Day to join his wife, our mom, Theresa. He will be dearly missed by his children Carol Kennedy (Jeff Davies), Wendell (Brenda) Stanley from Cranbrook, Glenn Stanley, Edward (Tammy) Stanley and Ken (Carol) Stanley from Coquitlam. His grandchildren Darren Kennedy, Shawn, Ryan, Jevyn, Bailey, Lindsay, Tyson, Riley Stanley and Jessa. His great grandchildren Levi, Benjamin and Taya.
His sister Emma Annet and sister-in-law Della Stanley from Gaspe, Quebec. Predeceased by his Dad and Mom, five brothers and four sisters.
Dad was born in Gaspe, Quebec and at a young age joined the Merchant Navy during World War II. His last trip left him in Vancouver where he met mom on a bus. He worked in the logging industry for over 40 years. After he retired, they moved to Cranbrook where he has enjoyed the last 24 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mark Memorial Funeral Home, 2024 Industrial Road No. 2, Cranbrook on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com.
Interment will take place at the Westlawn Cemetery where he will rest beside his wife once again.
