On February 2nd, 2016, Peter passed away suddenly in his home.
Peter was born on June 25, 1932 in Pleasant Hills Colchester County, Nova Scotia to Etta & Walter Boggs.
Married to Donna in 1957 and together they raised their daughters, Leann, Laura & Cara. They made their home in Cranbrook, BC.
Peter worked as a logger all his life. Logging was his passion. He started out his career falling trees the old way and then on to building bush roads and landings with his D6 Cat. Many friendships and adventures were born in the bush and he always had an entertaining story to tell.
Throughout his lifetime, Peter enjoyed logging competitions, snowmobiling, camping and anything to do with the outdoors. Many Saturday mornings were spent discussing the previous week’s events at the Loggers Club at Kootenay Truck & Saw with the friends he valued so much.
Peter was predeceased by both his parents, his three brothers and two sisters.
Peter is survived by his former wife Donna, his daughters, Leann (Gary), Laura (Darryl) and Cara (Rob); grandchildren Ashley (Bud), Chelsea (Matthew), Dalton (Amanda) & Austin: great grandchildren Ryker and Codi as well as his friend Diane.
Memorial Service to be held at McPherson Funeral Home, Cranbrook, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at
2:00 pm.
