Simon Michael Selby, beloved son of Michaela Denton & Mike Selby, passed away suddenly at home, on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 28 years.
Simon was born in Sydney, Australia, but soon relocated to Canada with his parents. He grew up in Lethbridge, and found a career with Kawneer Company Canada Ltd.
Simon's smile, his personality, and his huge heart will be missed by all. He had the nickname "Doctor Simon" as a baby, since he always made everyone feel better whenever he was around.
Simon loved the outdoors; especially hiking and fishing. He was also a sponsored skateboarder, and sang for the hip-hop group RISE. He also enjoyed training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing at CMC.
Simon was unusually close with his brother Daniel; they were best friends and partners in life.
Simon was never happier than he was when his daughter Harmony was with him. She was his complete joy and heart from the moment she was born. He cherished every second they had together, and loved her more than anything.
Simon is survived by his daughter Harmony, his brothers Daniel and Cohen, his parents Mike Selby (Heather Hathaway) and Michaela Robinson (Randy), many aunts and uncles, grandparents, relatives, coworkers, and friends who cannot picture a world without him.
