Shirley Kathleen Cheveldeaw (nee Chiveldeff)

Shirley Kathleen Cheveldeaw passed away on June 2nd, 2018 in Creston, B.C. at the age of 74 years, due to complications of a stroke.

Shirley was born in Grand Forks, B.C. on November 22nd, 1943 to Mike and Mary Chiveldeff. She attended High school in Grand Forks, B.C. and College of the Rookies in Cranbrook, B.C.

Shirley married Paul Cheveldeaw in Grand Forks, B.C. on February 23rd, 1963, they had five children Wanda, Amy, Keith, Randy, and Jamie.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Church choir, and T.A.P.S (Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors) Creston. She Volunteered with the Boy Scouts of Canada, Minor Ball Association, Minor Hockey Association, United Way, Canadian Cancer Society, Toastmasters. Her hobbies included dancing, and singing, various crafts and sewing, flowers drying, swimming, skiing, and many other outdoor activities.

Shirley is predeceased by her father Mike, Mother Mary, Husband Paul, Daughter Wanda, Brother in law Sam, and many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her daughter Amy of Okotoks, Ab, Son, Keith of Edmonton, Ab, son Randy of Kingston, ON, son Jamie of Cranbrook, B.C., sister Evelyn Femia of Surrey, B.C., Grandchildren Alexandra, Marissa, Gabriel, Isaha, Samantha, Cole, and Molly.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.
