Shirley Anne Janni
August 3, 1942 - October 12, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother October 12, 2017. Shirley left us peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
Shirley was born August 3, 1942 to Andrew and Josephine Zaleschuk of Trail, B.C. Shirley grew up, married, had her children in Trail, and spent the majority of her life between there and Cranbrook.
She will always be remembered for the unconditional love she had for her children, her well prepared meals and a clean house. She loved music and playing cards.
Shirley will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ron Janni. Daughters Jolene Bouma and Christie (Terry) Neibergall, son Larry (Stacey) Schrump. Sister Gloria (John) Czegledi and brother Alan (Betty) Zaleschuk. Stepchildren Gary Janni, Faye (Keith) Tumber, Ron (Sue) Janni, Bev (Art) Mansell and Len (Marijan) Janni, numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Shirley was pre-deceased by her first husband Larry Schrump, parents Andrew and Josephine, sister Georgina Bunka and brother Lorne Zaleschuk. Stepsons Anthony Janni and Allan Janni. Stepfather Archie Yuzik.
A memorial will be held in the spring as per Shirley's request.
