On Thursday, June 17, 2021, Phyllis slipped peacefully from this life into God's welcoming arms. She was enthusiastically greeted by a wonderful cast of characters of both family and friends.
Phyllis was born in 1932 in Cranbrook, B.C. In 1955 she met the love of her life, Ronald Hemmons. They married a short time later, had 3 incredible children, and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Phyllis was fierce, feisty and fabulous. All those who loved her will forever miss her love, strength, laughter and her ability to find joy and wonder in all around her.
Grateful thanks to Dr. Bryson and the dedicated staff at Sechelt Hospital who took such gentle care of mom and her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Sechelt, B.C. at a future date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary.
