Patricia Margaret Tanner “Patty”
1950 – 2017
It is with very deep sorrow that the family of Patty
Tanner announces her passing on Wednesday, June 14,
2017 in Kelowna, BC.
Patty was born on June 14, 1950 in New Glasgow, NS.
She was a much loved and respected wife, mother,
grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Patty’s
true joy was her family and friends. She touched many
people’s lives through her compassion and caring
and her work. The guidance and knowledge that she
instilled in her children and grandchildren will always
be appreciated. Patty took great pride in her home and
her fl ower beds. She loved to travel and she and Ron
have many amazing memories of the trips they shared
together. Patty will be deeply missed by all who knew
and loved her.
Patty is survived by her husband of 48 years of
marriage Ron Tanner, her daughter Veronica Tanner
(Mike), sons Steve Tanner (Kate) and Brad Tanner
(Barb), grandchildren Cody Tanner (Keegan), Austin
Tanner, Brandon Tames, Riley Tanner, Jesse Tanner,
Presley Tanner, Kayce Tanner, Bowdrie Tanner, great
grandson Hendrik Tanner, brother Norm Leil (Bev) and
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
Patty was predeceased by her parents Jimmie and Mary
Leil and her two brothers Johnny Leil and Donnie Leil.
A memorial service for Patty will be held at McPherson
Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Thursday, June 22, 2017
at 2:00 pm.
