Olwyn: "A loving mum, grannie and best friend."

After a brief illness, Olwyn Ringheim passed away peacefully with her family at her side.

Olwyn was predeceased by her husband Myles Lee Ringheim, her parents Albert and Emily James, brothers Gerald and David, niece Nancy Mason-Johnston, son-in-law Dr. Eric Louis Beauchamp, sisters-in-law Bessie Marsh, Mary Reiffenstein and Dorothy Gillrie.

Missing her forever are her children, daughter Emily Ringheim-Beauchamp (Danny Calles) of Kimberley, BC, son Henry (Sharon) Ringheim of Invermere, BC, son Danny (Donna) Ringheim of Golden, BC, granddaughters Chelsea (Scott) Hromadnik of Chetwynd, BC, Kristen Ringheim of Calgary, AB, grandsons Gray (Victoria) Beauchamp of Denver, CO, Tye Beauchamp of Golden, BC, Matt Ringheim (Denelle) of Cranbrook, BC, great grandsons Kyle and Nolan Hromadnik of Chetwynd, BC and Adden Louis Beauchamp and his mother Loula Fouad of Toronto, ON, her best friend and sister-in-law Anna (Daigle) James of Chico, CA, sisters-in-law Norma Carroll, Gladys Ringheim and Mae Gillrie, as well as many relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends in the world.

Olwyn was passionate about almost everything on earth! She loved mountains, especially stunning Mt. Fisher, and all the others she managed to climb! She enjoyed and loved cross country skiing, biking, golfing, hiking, all animals, especially dogs and birds, baking, ice cream, huckleberry picking, good manners and any place it would snow! Her cross country skiing adventures took her and her husband Myles Lee her "ski waxer" all over Europe. She loved to compete in the BC Summer and Winter Games and the World Masters for skiing where she usually finished on the centre of the podium, smiling with her gold medal!

Olwyn brightened the day for many people who enjoyed those twinkling blue eyes and a never ending quick sense of humour. Olwyn was a motivating "ambassador activist" for friends, acquaintances and family to always enjoy the great outdoors no matter the weather...and "always take your headlamp"!!

There will be a celebration for both Olwyn and Lee later in the summer when her family are able to attend. The special attention and friendship Mum received from all of you will never be forgotten.

If there is a medal in heaven for a life well lived, hers would be gold.
