Norman Claire Gallagher age 88 of Cranbrook BC passed away Thursday July 25, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Norman was born July 7, 1931 in Creston, B.C. to Claire and Lillian Gallagher (Pendry). He graduated from Creston Junior/ Secondary School in June 1950. After graduating high school, he attended the Banff School of Fine Arts.
Norman married the love of his life Annette McKay on October 31st, 1953. Norman was employed by the Ministry of Highways until his retirement in 1988. Norman and Annette retired in Creston BC and relocated to Cranbrook BC in 2012. Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, prospecting, gardening, drawing and painting. His gardens and fruit trees were one if his greatest passions.
Norman is survived by his cherished wife of 65 years Annette. He is also survived by his four children and their spouses, Norann Brown (Donald), Carolynn Mack (Mark), Denise Sherratt (Andy) and Darrol Gallagher (Darlene) and 12 grandchildren, Gregory, Darren, Annissa, Michelle, Shaina, Michael, Jason, Kristin, Jacob, Sean, Teague and Jennifer and 12 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at McPherson Funeral Service on Friday August 2nd, 2019 at 2 pm.
