March 1, 1920 - March 21, 2021
It is with great memories and sadness that we announce the passing of Minnie.
She was born in Cranbrook and spent her younger years between Cranbrook and Wardner. She was very adventurous and enjoyed most things outdoors. She became involved with The Salvation Army which was a big part of her life.
After a few part time jobs, she started her career job at City Hall. She was the city clerk and trained many people. There she met the love of her life Emil. After a long courtship, they eventually married.
After a lengthy illness he passed. Shortly after, she met her partner Roy and moved to Yahk.. She lived there for the next 30 years enjoying camping, fishing and the best of the outdoors. If you wanted to find Minnie, go up Bull River and the Tangle Foot.
Health reasons had them moving back to Cranbrook around 2012. She then went to Joseph Creek around 2015. The one thing that made her happy was if you took her a bag of reese mini peanut butter cups, her favourite food.
She passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2021. We wish to thank the Doctor's, Nurse's and staff at Joseph Creek for the wonderful care & friendship they gave Minnie over the years. As to her wishes there will be no funeral. Minnie' first love was animals.
Those wishing to remember can make donations to the SPCA!
