PLOURDE
A precious life who touched the hearts of many with her beautiful smile, Michelle Margaret Plourde, died peacefully in the arms of those who loved her on July 8, 2017. She was just 18 days from her 35th birthday.
Michelle was born in Cranbrook on July 26, 1982.
Michelle lived life to it’s fullest potential; each day was an
opportunity for new adventures and experiences. Warmly
accepted by the community; Michelle attended Girl Guides for 8 years, enjoyed bowling with the Special Olympics, and attended Operation Track Shoe every year in Victoria throughout High School and later with Life Skills. Michelle’s favorite part was the socializing, dinners and dances where she loved being with old friends and meeting new ones.
Michelle had dreams! She wanted to be a hairdresser, just like Claire, packing her case full of beauty accessories. One of her greatest passions was weddings – she loved weddings and always wanted to be the bride. Michelle dreamt of having a wedding and a family of her own. She did get to have “Michelle’s Special Day”, complete with a wedding dress, tiara & veil …. and an ice cream cake to commemorate the day!
An excellent traveller, Michelle had the opportunity to visit
England, Scotland, Mexico, and Arizona, among other places. Her passport was very important to her! She was always very aware of her surroundings and remembered places she’d been and was excited to travel to new destinations.
In her own special way, Michelle touched so many lives with her beautiful, expressive smile and her exuberant love of life. She was so loving. Her love radiated …. and people felt it! Michelle always left others feeling better than when they’d met her. You couldn’t have a bad day around Michelle! She will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved her!

Michelle is survived by her mother Lena Perri and family, her
father Michel Plourde and family, and her chosen family, Maurice and Anne O’Connor, Martin, Claire and families.
