It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael (Mick) Robert Farran 76, of Gray Creek, B.C. on January 9, 2024, in Creston, B.C.
Mick was born in Kimberley, BC to Ken and Lucille on December 23, 1947. He grew up in Kimberley his whole life before moving to Kootenay Lake in 2004. He worked as a Timberman in the mine, and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman.
Mick will be remembered as a gentle giant and kindhearted man and was loved by all who knew him.
Mick is survived by his wife Dianne, children, Nikki (Will), Chad (Kim), Brenda (Todd), stepchildren Cameron (Sandy) and Melissa (Dale), sister Lynn (Larry), grandchildren, Tyler, Blake, Lexi, Cailyn, Haley, Josie, Katie (Karen), Nikita (Kyle), Clifton, Jake (Jody), Luke, Justin (Rachael), great grandchildren Oliver, Blue, Phoenix, Easton, Bentley, he will also missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mick is predeceased by his parents Ken and Lucille and stepdaughter Jennie..
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
