It is with great sadness that we share the news that Mary Anne Della Siega passed away April 29, 2018 at 75 years of age. She leaves behind her 2 Sons and their wives: Anthony (Barbara) & Wayne (Jeany), 3 grandchildren, Aidan, Beckett & Ciana, 2 step-grandchildren, Kayleigh & Alex and 1 step-great grandchild, Hudson.
Mary Anne grew up in Castlegar with nurturing parents and 2 brothers. She married her soul mate Mario and raised 2 faithful sons. She was a devoted wife and moved many times as Mario's career took them throughout BC. She was good at keeping in touch and to this day has friends scattered in various cities.
They finally laid some roots down in Cranbrook and she took the opportunity to find a job she loved. She helped many students at East Kootenay Community College navigate the bookstore. She enjoyed being outside and kept an immaculate garden, growing many vegetables that she sliced and diced into amazing dishes.
She was famous for her cooking, especially her spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna. She loved to entertain; it was always a treat to attend her bountiful spreads. She spent the last 10 years of her life in Victoria near her family who she loved deeply. There was not a prouder mother/ grandmother.
We are grateful to have had those years to share in her journey. She showed us what a generous and kind soul she had. She will be missed by many neighbours and friends but especially her grandchildren who adored her.
