At the Kimberley Special Care Home, "The Pines," after a long gentle decline.

Daughter of Thomas (Tommy) and Jane Hotchkiss, she was born in Lethbridge, Alberta; she grew up in Kimberley, then moved to Vancouver to train at St. Paul's Hospital. She spent her working life in Victoria and the Kootenays as a registered nurse, then retired to Kimberley to care for her widowed father.

Predeceased by husband John H. "Jack" Wodell, sister Mamie Pearson, brother James Hotchkiss, niece Joanne Carlyle, beloved sister-in-law Bernice "Bunny" Turner and her husband Fred and sons Doug and Ron Turner, and special friends Dean Arnold, Grace McGregor, and Mary Rogers. Survived by son Russell Wodell, daughter Shirley Brydle, son-in- law Grant Brydle, grandchildren Jordan and Julie Brydle, great-grandson Jaydon Brydle.

Friends Jim Carlisle, Agnes Hay, and Michelle Evenson helped her maintain independent living as long as possible. The staff of The Pines provided excellent and compassionate care in her last years.

She requested no service and was cremated at Mark's Memorial; donations may be made to St. Paul's Foundation in Vancouver or the BC Alzheimer Society.
