Jun 16, 1925 - Apr 10, 2018
On April 10th we said goodbye to our loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Margaret Jean Cloarec.

Jean was born in Kimberley on June 16, 1925 and lived in Cranbrook for her whole life. She married Leon Cloarec in 1949 and celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2012.

Jean and Leon spent their summers fishing, exploring and meeting up with friends while camping, most notably with the White Swan gang. They enjoyed multiple camping trips in northern BC/Yukon with their friends Connie and Mick Proctor, where they truly embraced their adventurous spirits.

Jean had expertise in many creative areas such as, sewing, painting and knitting, to name a few. She was a proud member of the original Cranbrook Girls' Bugle Band in 1941.

Within our family, she was known as the person who brought all of us together. She was happiest when she had her family gathered around her.

Jean leaves behind her children Derry Cloarec (Molly), Wendy Revie (Rob), Don Cloarec (Laura) and Kevin Cloarec; her grandchildren Kristy Comishin (Ryan), Jennifer Kelly (Steve), Sean Cloarec, Coral Colgur (Ian) and Chris Cloarec; her beloved great grandchildren Cameron, Dustin, Brennan, Sadie, Clea, Chase, Devyn and Makayla. She was predeceased by her husband Leon, her grandchildren Tracy Hutchinson and Brett Taylor, her siblings Lee McLellan, Don Carroll and Betty Conroy and her parents Frank and Dorothy Carroll.

Special thanks to the staff at Joseph Creek Care Village and Dr. King for their care and compassion. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 am, Monday April 16th, 2018 at Christ The Servant Catholic Church in Cranbrook.
