Madeline Marie Prowse, of Cranbrook, B.C. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born in Halifax, N.S. on February 24, 1936, to Edwin and Elizabeth Pelham.
Madeline was an adored mother and grandmother. She became an Early Childcare Educator in her fifties and was an accomplished knitter and gardener until her hands refused to cooperate. She was never further than arms-reach from a novel, a deck of cards, or her rosary.
Madeline is survived by her children: Michelle Landry, Derek Prowse (Lydia Miljan), Shaunna (Doug) Cranch, Darrin Prowse, and Shalni Prowse (Scot Kortegaard); and her eight grandchildren; and sister-in-law Janice Pelham.
She is predeceased by her husband and six siblings.
Her Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 13, 2023, 1 pm. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cranbrook, British Columbia. Flowers are welcome but if desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in support of Madonna House.
