November 4, 1936 - August 23, 2018
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother (Margaret) Louise Russell in Penticton, BC on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Louise was born on November 4, 1936 in Kelowna, BC where she grew up in Summerland on

the family orchard.

Moving to Cranbrook in 1961 with her young family to make Cranbrook her home until 1993 when she moved back to the sunny Okanagan, Penticton. While in Cranbrook she belonged to The Royal Canadian Legion & the Cranbrook Curling Club. She volunteered for many organization including Meals on Wheels when it first started in Cranbrook

in the early 70's.

She had many hobbies to fill her days especially knitting & crocheting for friends & family. She always had a smile on her face for her many friends, which turned to a beaming smile when someone offered to play crib or scrabble with her.

Louise was preceded by 4 sons; Michael (1988), Gregory (1993) William (Bill -1999) & Richard (2017) is survived by 2 of her children, David (Susan) Russell & Brenda (Keith) Christensen, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Family members include her sister Bev (Ron) Klackowich & brother Doug (Judy) Walton.

A special thank you to the staff at The Andy Moog Hospice in Penticton. The special care & professionalism shown to our Mother during her short stay at the Hospice was comforting to our family. Thank you also to Dr. Lawrie for the care & patience over the many years that Mom was his patient.

There will be a family gathering for a memorial service at a later date.
