Lorraine Marie Olson
October 29, 1935 - October 3, 2017
Lorraine Olson, age 81, of Cranbrook, BC, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Lori was born on October 29, 1935 in Meadowview, AB to the late Donald and Rose Heineman.
In her early years, Lori undertook several job opportunities including retail store manager, tour operator and restauranteur until her retirement in 1996.
During retirement, she enjoyed spending time travelling across Canada and into the USA with George and their beloved cat Keesha in their motorhome.
Lori was happiest enjoying lakeside life, camping and fishing.
Lori leaves behind, her husband George Olson, her brother Lanny and sister Jeanie; her daughters Valerie Rinaldi (Paul) of Chilliwack, BC; Rhonda Thompson (Mitch) of Yellowknife, NT; her son Steven Bradley (Christine) of Ottawa, ON and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service was held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Friday, October 6, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the: Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 1224 STN K, Toronto, Ontario, M4P 9Z9 in honour of Lori.
