August 28, 1927 to October 9, 2018 Lorne passed away peacefully in his 92nd year, surrounded by family. Born in Sandon, BC, Lorne spent his professional career as a Chartered Accountant in Toronto, Ontario. Following retirement, he returned to British Columbia to Kimberley. Lorne was a proud member of the Kimberley community. Most notably, he was an integral part of the Kimberley Underground Mining Railway for nearly two decades.
Lorne is survived by his three children, Randy of Calgary, Cindy of Mississauga and Hallie of London and their families, including seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A private celebration of his life was held on the banks of the Kootenay River on October 11, 2018. Lorne loved the river with the mountains in the background.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorne's memory to the Kimberley Health Care Auxiliary Loan Cupboard at 260 4th Avenue in Kimberley (250-427-2887).
