Lawrence Earle Kary

1924 – 2016

Lawrence Kary, of Cranbrook, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the FW Green Memorial Home.

Lawrence was a life-long resident of the Cranbrook and Kimberley area. He spent his early years in Bull River and was raised in Cranbrook. He had a life time passion for hiking and back country exploring and also enjoyed curling. Lawrence served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. He married Thelma Barnhardt in 1947.

Lawrence was predeceased by his parents Michael and Theo Kary, his wife Thelma in 2009, 3 brothers Roy, Archie and Howard and 2 sisters Marie and Pat. He is survived by his 3 sons Colin, Glen (Sandie) and Greg (Lala), 7 grandchildren Clint, Dusty, Kyle, Alexander, Nicholas, Edward and Karen, 3 great-grandchildren Ileana, Jaxon and Tavis, and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Lawrence’s life will take place a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to a Wildlife Fund of your choice.
