June 7, 1974 - July 21, 2018
With broken hearts and wounded souls we announce the passing of Jeannette Edwards at the Vancouver General Hospital on Saturday July 21, 2018.

Jeannette was born and raised in Cranbrook, BC, the eldest of 3 daughters to Roy and Lanna Ryan. She lived and worked in Ponoka, AB after completing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta.

She then returned to Cranbrook where she eventually took up weed spraying and Blacktail Resources was born. She then moved to Jaffray, BC where she took pride in building her beautiful ranch home with Alan and Jessie.

From a young age she possessed exuberance for exploring, hiking, and discovering. She was always the one to push to the next mountain range or go around just one more corner. She once had a yearning desire to be a veterinarian and spent many a time dissecting and investigating specimens as well as to help heal the injured.

Our adventures with Jeannette were never dull and we will always feel her presence, whether it be hiking to a mountain top, feeling the wind on our face on the back of a horse, or in watching the beauty of snowflakes falling quietly. Her spirit will live on in all that we do and feel.

Jeannette is survived by her loving husband, Alan Edwards, her parents Roy and Lanna Ryan, her most beloved daughter, Jessie, her sisters, Tanya (Dave) and Cindy, uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws.

At the family's request, there will be a private memorial service on Thursday August 2, 2018, followed by an open reception at 1:30 pm at the Eagles Hall in Cranbrook.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jean Barber Cancer Lodge in Vancouver, BC. This place was our home away from home during this trying time.€ She will be forever loved and always missed. May you watch over us all, our Angel.
