Jean Sophie Fuller passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Jean was born on August 2, 1929 in Fernie, BC to Joseph and Abigail Shingar. She was a wonderful wife and mother and truly loved life. She was employed as a waitress for a time but she loved working for the post office. Jean started some of the rural mail routes in the Cranbrook area. She hauled mail to and from the airport for over 30 years. Jean delivered newspapers from Salmo to Kimberley for a few years as well.


Jean loved her family, her friends and talking to people anywhere and anytime. She loved travelling, all things in nature, music and old movies. She was a loving, caring person and was loved by many people.


Jean was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Abigail Shingar, her husband Wilfred Percy Fuller, her daughter Sharon Osborne, her grandson Brian Amell and her brother Harvey Shingar.


Jean leaves to cherish her memory her children: Elaine (Denzil) Cooke, Anne Amell (George), Laura (Earl) Pocha, Randy Fuller, Linda Fuller (Dean Fornie) and Ethle (Greg) Willison. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one sister, Esther Ponic.


A Memorial to celebrate Jean’s life will be held in July. Jean will be sadly missed by many people and will be loved forever. Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com
