James “Jim” Carnell

February 20, 1933 – December 22, 2018
With sadness we announce the passing of James Carnell (Jim), after a long battle with cancer, on December 22 2018.

Jim was born in Three Rivers, Quebec, February 20, 1933 and served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1953 to 1957. He then went on to operate equipment in the forest industry. He finished his working life as a greens keeper at the Cranbrook Golf Course, giving him the inside track on his true passion playing golf. He was also an avid reader and member of the Cranbrook Public Library.

Predeceased by his parents and both sister. His battle with cancer was supported by many friends, George and Jim Stapleton and family helped him maintain independent living as long as possible.

We thank the staff of the CBRH and Dr. Sheibenstock for the compassionate care in Jim’s last days.

As per Jim’s request there will be no service.
