It is with deep sorrow that the family of Helen Johns announces her passing on Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Cranbrook, BC just 5 days before her 100th birthday.

Helen was born on July 3, 1914 in Hamilton, ON. She was predeceased by her husband Christopher James Johns and two daughter-in-laws Lucy and Lois. She is survived by her 4 sons Chris (Carol), Bryan (Heather), Terry (Nicole) and Barry, grandchildren Jennifer, Steven (Leslee), Andrew (Crystal), Cameron (Fran), Kristine (Mark), Kevin, Michelle, Jeffrey, Katrina and Leah, numerous great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Helen will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Helen’s honour may do so to the: East Kootenay S.P.C.A., PO Box 2, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 4H6.
