Hazel Irene Laine, at age 95, passed away April 16, 2019 surrounded by Her Family. She was born in Pelly, Sask. Jan 5, 1924.
During World War 2 she was a "Farm Girl", she met and married Bert Laine in Whitewood, SK in 1941. She had two children, Beverly and Dennis.
They moved to Cranbrook in 1965. Irene worked at Overwaitea on Baker Street. In 1968 she started to work for Canada Post until her retirement in 1983.
Irene and Bert enjoyed many sports including, golfing, curling, camping and fishing. She was Worthy Grand Matron of the Eastern Star and spent many hours donating time to the
Local Shrine Club.
She is survived by her Daughter Beverly Watson (Jim) 6 Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren, 3 Great Great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Husband: Bert Laine, Son: Dennis, Daughter in Law: Adriana.

A Funeral Service was held in Cranbrook, April 23 @ 11 am at Knox Presbyterian Church. Internment in Westlawn Cemetary.
