Gary Stephen Abel aka "Big Guy" or "FA" passed away peacefully at KGH with family by his side on February 1, 2023.
Born December 16, 1951 in Edmonton, AB to Willis and Peggy and had 3 brothers Randy, Daryl and Jon.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Jon, mother-in-law Isabel and brother-in-law, Mike.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife AnnaJean (AJ); son, Steven and his fiancée, Wendy and children Isabella, Sonny and Eliana; daughter, Carly and her fiancé, Gerald and her daughter Camryn; AJ's father, Ed Thouret; brother Wally (Wendy) along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at The Landing at the Cove Lakeside Resort where we gathered to share some of our favorite memories, stories, laugh, cry and remember a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. Raise a glass to Gary one last time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the KGH Foundation in memory of Gary.
