July 10, 1941 - July 16, 2019
Gary was born and raised in Cranbrook. He was a proud member of the Cranbrook Professional Firefighters until retirement in 1992. He loved the outdoors, exploring and traveling to exotic locations, and was extremely committed in donating to several charitable organizations. He had a love for family, close friends and for all animals. He was a reticent man whose actions spoke louder than his words. Gary's generosity was typical of his character, quiet, unassuming but genuine, his still waters ran deep.
Gary is survived by his brother Dick, sister-in-law Joy, nephews Chris, Doug, Tyler, Danny, Jay, Dean and niece Lori, many grand nephews and grand nieces.
He is predeceased by his father Colvin, mother Maisie, brother Colvin, sister-in-law Linda.
There will be no service, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gary's honor to the charity of ones choosing or the Salvation Army at https://secure.salvationarmy.ca/registrant/DonationPage
