Florence Findlay
1923 - 2014
With much sadness, the family of Florence Findlay announces her passing on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015.
Florence was born in Saskatchewan in 1923 and moved with her young family to Vernon and then to Vancouver shortly after WWII. In 1986 she joyfully married Robert “Bert” Findlay. They enjoyed numerous trips in their motor home, participating in craft fairs in the Kootenay area and many family celebrations.
Florence was blessed with four daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. We invite the community to attend her service at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10th, 2015, followed by her interment in Westlawn Cemetery and to then join us for tea back at the funeral home in Cranbrook. Donations in Florence’s honour may be made to: St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 97 - Boundary Street, Kimberley, BC, V1A 2H4.
