It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our precious daughter, Emma. After a brave 10 month journey with a Childhood Cancer, she chose to win her battle by becoming free of this relentless disease. Cancer didn't take Emma, Emma took cancer!
Emma had a great love of water, she was our beautiful mermaid. She enjoyed swimming lessons, hot springs, beaches, and even won quite a few swim meets with her school's swim club. She swam like a mermaid and we often thought she was happier in the water. It was swimming that she missed most during her stay at Ronald McDonald House and BC Children's, however she did find a little peace at the beautiful Vancouver beaches.
From a young age, Emma showed great talent in art; drawing, sculpting, and painting. Her art work will be enjoyed by anyone who was special enough to receive it as a gift. Emma's kindness, love for life, artistic nature, humour and bravery will live forever in our hearts.
Emma's love and memory will forever be honoured by her parents, Bobby and Amber Lavallee, her Papa and Nana, Steve and Johanna Kinsman, Auntie Nicole (David) Erickson, her Grandpa and Grandma, Jerry and Colleen Lavallee, Uncle Ryan Lavallee, her beloved little cousins, Kinley Erickson and Hunter Lavallee and her adorable dog, Gus.
A Celebration of Emma's Life will be held March 2, 2019, at Amy Woodland Elementary School Gymnasium, Cranbrook, BC at 2 pm-5 pm. Please join us for snacks and refreshments. For those wishing to honour Emma, please donate to any of the following;
