It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elvin Lindberg
on January 1, 2017 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Elvin passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 74.
He was born and raised in Cranbrook, where he spent his entire life
here enjoying all that the area had to offer. He enjoyed fishing, hiking
camping, gardening in the summers, and cross country skiing in the winter. There were also many years spent at the curling rink.
Elvin spent his career working for Canada Post, which he retired from
in 1997.
He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Beth, his parents Walter and Martha, two sisters Margaret and Annette, and by his brother Wilfred.
Elvin leaves to mourn, his wife Colleen, son Ron (Kim), daughter Crystal (Ian), grandchildren Jessica, Hope and Conner, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be no public service by Elvin’s request, his family will gather
at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity
of your choice.
