ELLEN MARIE KIRK nee Mahler
1935 to 2015
Our Dear sister passed away peacefully on September 5th, 2015 in Thunder Bay, Ontario following a lengthy illness.
Ellen was born in Nelson, B.C. And grew up in Kimberley where she graduated from McKim High School in 1954. She worked for the Bank of Montreal for a few years before transferring to Thunder Bay where she met and married Don. They raised their two children there while she continued to work until 1997. After retirement she took up water colour painting which she loved and produced many wonderful pieces. Ellen was an avid reader and enjoyed walking everywhere with her little dog Buddy.
She was predeceased by her husband Don and leaves to mourn her passing her children Daughter Karen (Peter) son Bryan (Leanne); Grandchildren Bailey and Dalton; sisters Elsie (Mike), Louise and Karen; and many nieces and nephews.
Ellen will be laid to rest beside her husband in Thunder Bay.
