Edna Gilmore - Brunner

June 14, 1930 - October 15, 2015

On a beautiful fall morning, Edna went peacefully home to her Heavenly Father. Edna’s world revolved around music. At 13 she was teaching piano. At 16, she obtained a degree in music from the Toronto Conservatory.

Edna was very involved in our community, as an organist, director of many choir groups, and teaching. She was “Citizen of the Year” in 1974. A highlight of her achievements was climbing Fisher Peak. Edna loved to travel, especially to Maui.

Edna was predeceased by her husbands Don Gilmour and August Brunner. Edna would say “I was blessed with two wonderful marriages and I look forward to being reunited with my parents Bernard and Natalie Adolf, my two brothers, Harvey and Roy, and my Don and Gussie.”

In honouring Edna’s wishes, there will be no service.

Edna will be remembered by her many, many students, and all the people who hold her close to their hearts.
