Dorothy Helen Craig
On October 30th, 2017 Dorothy "Dot" Helen Hleuka-Becker-Craig peacefully passed away surrounded by many loved ones and memories of days gone by in the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Dorothy was predeceased by her father Nicholas Hleuka, her mother Carmen Trovalia-Hleuka, her husband Harry Craig, and her brother Bob Hleuka.
Dorothy was a hard-working mother of five children Ronald Becker, Carmen Becker-Markin, Christopher Becker, Sparling Becker, and Sidney Craig.
She was a loving grandmother and nonna to eleven grandchildren and a proud great grandmother and nonni nonni to seven great grandchildren.
Dorothy is also survived by her younger brother Ronald Hleuka.
In Dorothy's younger years she was actively involved in local community clubs such as the Royal Purple and Royal Canadian Legion. She loved to dance, sing, shop, dress to impress, host large family gatherings and special occasions, cook amazing meals, and bake delicious desserts and treats. If anyone ever turned up at Dorothy's home the coffee was always on and no one ever left without a sweet treat.
Even in her later years when she was no longer able to make delicious sweets she always had plenty of candy to share.
It was Dorothy's wish to not have a memorial service.
