Donald "Don" Davies

March 3, 1941 - June 24, 2019
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved member of our community, Don (Donald) Davies on June 24, 2019. Don was born in Coventry, England on March 3rd, 1941. At the age of 12, Don's family moved to Australia.
After marrying his love and soul mate June at the age of 26, they moved to Kimberley where together they have lived for the past 52 years. For 32 years, Don was an educator, administrator and leader in this school district. Don was also an avid outdoorsman, musician, artist, writer, cyclist, coach, actor and community volunteer. But above all, Don was a loving husband, devoted father and loyal friend to so many.
Don is survived by his wife June, son Mark (Shawna), his children Bronwyn, Gwen and Ciera; daughter Julie-Anne (Mark) and their children Winter and Moss; daughter Louise (Craig) and their son Andrew; his brother Tony (Pat) and their children Melissa and Michael. Donations can be made in Don's memory to the Friends of Lois Creek (via the Kimberley Trails Society) or the Kimberley Arts Council.
A celebration of Don's life will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, July 28th, at the Kimberley Conference Centre.
