He came west at the age of 16 on the Harvest Excursion and later served his country in the army in World War II. He played a lot of cards and was very proficient at bridge and poker. He also found time to fish and hunt. Most of all he loved his family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 64 years Peggy, son Tom (Patsy) ,and grandsons Cole and Jake, his daughter Kara (Rick) and grandsons Donovan and Drew, and daughter Shelly (Dave) and grandson Phillip; and also, his many nieces and nephews and a special care giver Joy. Special thanks go out to Dr. J Grewal for her great care and compassion.
