Daryl will live on in the hearts of his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Ann (Currie) and his two daughters Misty Ahlefeld (Larry) and Marla Smith (Rod), his beloved grandchildren Alex and Tori Smith, his brother Arnold (Doreen) Wood, his sister Glenna (Richard) Boyd, sister-in-law Norma (Larry) Warren, brother-in-law Ron (Jen) Currie, sister-in-law Ethel Gailey, step brother-in- law Gerry (Sue) Linfield, step sister-in-law Kathy (Calvin) Belding and several nieces and nephews. Daryl's greatest love was that of his family, here and back east. He made many trips back to visit them, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with Alex. Daryl loved his campsite at the Eagles Nest RV Resort. He called it his home away from home. He loved his security job there, where he visited nightly with his many friends.

Daryl worked in the logging industry for many years, loading and hauling logs and when Daryl sold his trucks he got bored and looked for something else to do. He found a maintenance job with a friend of his and he did that until a few months before his death. Over the years Daryl formed many great friendships that he cherished to the end.

If so desired donations can be made in Daryl's memory to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health, Renal fund.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 9th at the Eagles Nest RV Resort, recreational center, Moyie, BC at 3:00 pm.
