November 23, 1957 - February 7, 2022
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Dale Jerke after a long battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Eva of 44 years, his daughters Miranda (Gord) and Julie, his six grandchildren Georgia, Grant, Wyatt, Jackson, Clarke, and Reese. Dale was born into a large loving family with eight siblings to Fred and Erna Jerke in Golden, BC on November 23, 1957. He left this world on February 27, 2022 at the Nanaimo Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones. There will be a Celebration of Life on June 4th in Nanaimo, BC.
Dale was as dedicated to enjoying life, as much as he was working to provide one for his family. Working for over 50 years in the forest industry, running machinery, he enjoyed making creative solutions and fixing things too. He enjoyed being active in many ways; baseball, hockey, hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and horseback riding. His positive outlook, humour, and zest for life were why he attracted so many cherished lifelong friends.
Dale was respected, deeply loved, and will be missed by many.
