April 16, 1932 - August 30, 2018
On Thursday, August 30, 2018, with her loving family by her side, Clara passed away peacefully at the age of 86.

Clara was born in Golden Spike, AB. As a young woman she moved to Edmonton where she was courted by Matt and they were married in 1953. In 1969, the family moved to Cranbrook, BC. Here, Clara's favorite pastime was bowling with Matt, and over the years she won many pins and trophies. Clara also loved listening to country and western music, while doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed being a volunteer and was a lifetime member of the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Store. Clara passed away a few days short of her beloved Edmonton Eskimo's playing in the Labour Day Classic.

Clara is survived by her loving family, daughter Dianne (James) LeClair of Cranbrook; sons Cliff (Charlaine) of Edmonton, James (Nelly) of Vancouver, Al (Sharon) of Cranbrook; grandchildren Michelle (Patrick), Brad (Tamara), Danielle (Emerson), and Nicole (Elijah); and great granddaughters Cora, Cailin and Abbey. She is also survived by her brother Otto (Margaret) Schuster, sisters Emma Wonity and Norma Treit, her sister-in-law Gertie Schuster and numerous nieces and nephews. Clara was predeceased by her husband Matt, her parents Gus and Annie Schuster, her brothers Fred, Edwin and sister Alma.

At Clara's request there will be no service. For those who wish, donations can be made in memory of Clara to the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Store.
