Christine Joanne Long (née Dugan)
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family
of Christine Joanne Long (née Dugan) announce her
passing on August 7, 2017.
Born on Nov. 29, 1949, in Pincher Creek, Alberta. Mom
had a big heart and loved to spend her time with her
children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.
While well known for her love of cooking, singing,
awesome organ and accordion playing, she also enjoyed
wine-making, walks in the forest, fishing and picking
mushrooms.
Her passion for her doll collection was proudly displayed
in her home for all to see.
She will be fondly remembered with a drink in her hand
and a smile on her face, and dearly missed by her spouse
Barry, her daughters Jackie and Joanna, her sons Ray, Al,
Joe, Bill and Shawn, and her brothers Tony and Joe Dugan,
along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
nieces and nephews.
“If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane
We’d walk right up to heaven, and bring you home again.”
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 18, at
1 p.m., at McPherson Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow.
Reception at 3 p.m. at 1537 Jim Smith Lake Road.
