September 16, 1933 - July 27, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mum, Jill, at Evergreen Baptist Care Home in Surrey, BC. She was born in Sydney, Australia 84 years ago. The youngest of two children; she was predeceased by her brother John Alcock, her mother Nancy and her father Cecil.
Jill emigrated to Canada in 1959 and married Rudy in Cranbrook, where they lived until 1985.
Jill work alongside Rudy in their well drilling company. They then moved to Cobble Hill to enjoy
their retirement. She enjoyed sewing, reading, travelling, gardening and visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her two daughters Ellen (Al) and Lesley (Stephen, James - deceased, Tyler) and by many nephews, nieces and friends from Cranbrook and Mill Bay. We would like to thank the staff at Crescent Gardens, Oceanview and Evergreen Baptist for the excellent care and compassion during Mom's final months.
There will be a service of remembrance for Jill at Henderson's Funeral Home Tuesday 14th August at 2:00 pm. 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC. The family requests that donations to The Alzheimer Society of BC be made in lieu of flowers.
