July 23, 1953 - November 16, 2018
It is with great sorrow that the family of Bryan Belding announces his passing on Friday, November 16th, 2018 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at the age of 65 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bryan was born on July 23, 1953 in Cranbrook, where he was raised and chose to live out his adult life.

Bryan was mentally and physically very tough. His toughness showed when he played goalie, as a youth, on the Cranbrook Rep Hockey team - and again with the Old Timers Hockey Team. He fought his way bravely through severe pain and illness right to the very end. He lived life fully, loving his summers (for 30 years) at Lake Koocanusa and his many trips south in the winter (especially his trips to Mexico).

Bryan loved his family as well as the staff and customers at Home Hardware, where he worked for 28 years. He also cherished the many wonderful friends he had both at Koocanusa and here in Cranbrook.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 30 years Maureen, daughter Jennifer (Sean) Cadden, father Bill (Betty) Belding, brother Bruce (Linda), sister, Janice Wingerak, stepsons Steve Howg and Dale (Rose), stepdaughter Julie and special neice Sarah Klassen. Also, grandchildren Matthew and Veronica, Rob (Alexis), Danny (Sarah), Michael, Tom, and Dixie, great- grandchildren McKenzie, Tavin and Oasis as well as numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. Bryan was predeceased by his mother, Rita Belding.

A Celebration of Bryan's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service. Condolences for the family can be offered at: www.mcphersonfh.com.
