Blaine died in Cranbrook Hospital in his 64th year. For twenty years he and his brother Ross owned and operated Batt Boys Insulation in Cranbrook and area. Blaine loved to golf, read and was a member of the Cranbrook Writers Group. During his battle with cancer the kindness of his friends in Cranbrook meant very much. In keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral. Internment of his cremated remains will take place in Whitewood, Saskatchewan at a later date.
