Bertha Askew passed away peacefully at the F. W. Green Memorial Home in Cranbrook on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 96.
Bertha was born at St. Eugene Hospital in Cranbrook on September 15, 1922. She lived in Bull River, Canal Flats, Yahk, Kimberley, Edmonton and finally in Cranbrook since 1948 when she married.
Bertha was predeceased by her husband Verne (1991), her daughter Sue, her parents, her brothers Jack and Bob, and sisters Jean and Marie. Bertha will be lovingly remembered by her brother Bill, her sons Patrick (Dana), Michael (Shelley), Gordon (Leigh), Paul (Betty), David (Sara) and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass for Bertha was celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Christ The Servant Catholic Church in Cranbrook.
